Propolis/ Bee glue - 100g
Leave feedback on the product
The raw material we offer, which is bee glue, from which propolis tincture is made, contains about 50% of substances soluble in ethyl alcohol, such as plant resins unprocessed by bees. Other compounds naturally occurring in bee glue are processed resins and mixtures of bee secretions, such as beeswax, which does not dissolve, and solid elements such as wooden streams from the hive or frames, which are created when uncapping propolis, and also, to a minimal extent, acaro-entomological and microbiological compounds, which are associated with the natural function of this product in the hive. Therefore, this raw, unprocessed product is ideal for making a health propolis tincture. It should be remembered that the finished tincture should be strained through gauze to purify the solution from the insoluble fraction!

Propolis, or bee glue - properties, use
Propolis is a mixture of tree resin and secretion from the glands of bees. It is a product containing many nutrients, thanks to which it strengthens our immunity, adds energy and improves well-being. People who use propolis treatment have noticed that it is especially helpful in skin diseases, inflammation of the oral cavity or infections. Propolis in the form of raw material is an excellent base for preparing health tinctures.
How to prepare propolis tincture?
Our propolis is available in ready-made jars to create a propolis tincture. Simply pour spirit over the jar to best benefit from its health properties.
For a 100g jar of propolis, the method of preparing propolis tincture is as follows:
Ingredients:
1. 100g propolis
2. 500ml rectified spirit 95%
3. 140ml water (boiled or spring)
Preparation:
1. Pour water into our ready jar with 100g of bee glue.
2. Add spirit to the resulting solution.
3. Set aside for 14 days in a sealed container, in a dark and cool place, mixing by shaking 2-3 times a day.
4. After 2 weeks, separate the dark brown liquid from the sediment by pouring the solution through gauze.
5. Store the resulting propolis tincture in a dark glass bottle.
The propolis sediment resulting from the straining of the tincture can be used as a compress for rheumatic and joint pain, by then lubricating the area with a fatty cream.
Dosage of solution:
It is recommended to consume 1/2 teaspoon (20-25 drops) of the preparation, which should be dissolved in a small amount of water (about 50 ml) up to three times a day. Propolis is a natural product and cannot be overdosed, however, due to the alcohol content, the recommended dose should not be exceeded.
Propolis expiry date:
Pure propolis/propolis should be used within a year of harvest. Propolis tincture prepared in this way should also be used within 12 months of its production, remembering the conditions of storing the product. It is estimated that after about 12 months, propolis loses half of its properties, and after two years it becomes completely useless.
Attention! Scientists from the Medical University of Białystok have proven that propolis and bee bread are perfectly capable of inhibiting the growth of cancer-causing cells! The research team was led by Prof. Maria Borawska. More information: https://www.skarbyroztocza.mom/pl/n/8
