Heather honey – the undisputed "king of Polish honeys"

Heather honey is an incredibly unique and sought-after product, deservedly called the "king of honeys" by many gourmets and experts. Harvesting pure nectar from heather moors is very difficult, as it depends on specific September weather conditions and very limited forage in our country. For this reason, this exceptional Polish nectar honey is not available every year, which makes it a true artisanal rarity.

Jelly-like consistency and natural impurities (bee bread, propolis)

What distinguishes real heather honey the most is its unique, jelly-like form. It results from a high content of dextrins and proteins, which make the honey thick and sticky. Due to this incredible structure, heather honey cannot be extracted using the traditional centrifugal method.

As a consequence of this unique process, natural impurities are visible in the jar – small remnants of bee bread, pollen, propolis, or wax fractions from the honeycombs. This is by no means a product defect! On the contrary: it is definitive proof of authenticity, correct harvesting, and the highest quality. Remember! Due to its unique protein structure, heather honey requires special treatment. To maintain all its properties, it must be stored in a shaded and cool place (at a temperature from 8 to a maximum of 15°C).

It works perfectly as an addition to warm herbal infusions and autumn teas (remember not to add it to liquids with a temperature higher than 40°C, which will protect its valuable antiseptic properties).
