Non-overheated Honeys
As mentioned in the introduction, honey producers whose products can be found in supermarkets, as well as unfortunately on the Internet, face a difficult task. They want to meet the price expectations of supermarkets. Unfortunately, the result is that high-quality honeys, which they often buy from Polish beekeepers, are mixed with foreign ones from countries outside the European Union, such as China or Ukraine. In the next step, such a mixture is often overheated to make it easier to pour the honey into jars and „standardisation” of the company's products. We do not use such practices. We do not standardise and therefore we ask for your understanding in advance if the colour, smell, or taste of the honey differs from each harvest. Thanks to this, our products retain all their natural health properties.
What is the deal with this non-heating?
It should be realised that natural honeys exposed to temperatures higher than 42 degrees Celsius lose their health properties. That is when the living elements in the honey die, namely over 20 bioelements, enzymes, amino acids, essential oils, natural pigments, inhibitors, or immune bodies. Therefore, honeys should not be heated to temperatures higher than 40 degrees Celsius. Only this will allow all its living elements to survive and preserve all its health properties. Importantly, honeys that have been overheated once will never crystallise- crystallisation is therefore a sign of high-quality honey and is a natural process. That is why every consumer of real honey should be aware that honey should not be added to hot drinks, exposed to sunlight, or boiled. We do not allow our honeys to lose such valuable properties given to us by mother nature.
